UROMYCES SPP. ON MEDICAGO AND TRIFOLIUM SPECIES IN IRAN

Abstract

In the framework of study on rust fungi of Fabaceae and based on the study of herbarium and newly collected specimens, six Uromyces species are recognized on Medicago spp. and Trifolium spp. from Iran. Among these species, U. fallens is recorded as new member for the Iranian rust flora. U. striatus is recorded as main causal agent of rust on lucerne (Medicago sativa) in Iran. Moreover, U. trifolii-repentis is recorded as main rust species on Trifolium spp. in Iran. The species concept of U. trifolii which, has been used in different senses in previous studies on Iranian rust fungi, is discussed. U. teheranicus which has been recorded as an endemic rust species on Trifolium sp., from Iran is considered as a synonym for U. trifolii-repentis. New host plants and new localities are recorded for recognized rust species in. A key to the identified Uromyces species on Medicago spp. and Trifolium spp. is also given.

Abstract [Persian]

در قالب طرح بررسی زنگ های گیاهان تیره Fabaceae و بر اساس مطالعه نمونه های هرباریومی و جدید جمع آوری شده گونه های زراعی و غیر زراعی یونجه و شبدر آلوده به زنگ، شش گونه Uromycesبه عنوان عوامل ایجادکننده زنگ روی جنس های مذکور در ایران شناسایی و تشریح می گردند. گونه U. fallens به عنوان عضو جدیدی برای فلور زنگ های ایران معرفی می شود. گونه U. striatus  به عنوان عامل اصلی زنگ روی Medicago sativa و گونه U. trifolii-repentis  به عنوان شایع ترین گونه عامل زنگ روی اعضای جنس Trifolium در ایران معرفی می شوند. مفهوم گونه در آرایه U. trifolii که در منابع مربوط به زنگ های ایران در مفاهیم مختلف و جهت نامیدن گونه های مختلف Uromyces روی گونه های جنس Trifolium به کار رفته است، مورد بحث و بررسی قرار گرفته و گونه U. teheranicus  به عنوان مترادف گونه U. trifolii-repentis  در نظر گرفته می شود. دامنه میزبانی به همراه میزبان ها و مناطق پراکنش جدید در ایران برای گونه های زنگ شناسایی شده معرفی می گردند. همچنین کلیدی جهت تفکیک گونه های Uromyces شناسایی شده روی شبدر و یونجه در ایران ارایه می گردد.
